ESG Supplier Requirements 2026

Collaboration, Responsibility, and Shared Progress

At Nybo Workwear, we do not see ESG as a requirement – but as a shared responsibility. Our suppliers are a central part of our value chain, and therefore also a crucial part of our work with sustainability, responsible production, and transparency.

With our ESG supplier requirements for 2026, we set a clear direction for how we create progress together – through structure, dialogue, and concrete actions.

1. Quarterly ESG Meetings

We believe that development requires continuous dialogue.

Therefore, we hold regular quarterly ESG meetings with our suppliers. Here, we follow up on goals, evaluate progress, and identify new initiatives. These meetings create a shared understanding and ensure that ESG is not a one-time effort – but an ongoing process.

2. One Clear ESG Contact

Effective communication is essential.

All suppliers must appoint a dedicated ESG responsible person who acts as the direct contact with Nybo Workwear. The purpose is to ensure clear, stable, and uninterrupted communication – without ESG being overshadowed by other business priorities.

3. Data-Driven Insights Through ESG Questionnaire

To improve, we must be able to measure.

All suppliers must complete our ESG questionnaire with more than 60 questions covering key environmental and social indicators. This provides a shared data foundation for structured improvement efforts.

4. Progress Towards a Living Wage

Fair wages are the foundation of responsible production.

We expect all suppliers to actively work towards a living wage for their employees. As part of this, suppliers must annually report the wage level of the lowest-paid employee. This creates transparency and drives progress in the right direction.

5. Anonymous Grievance Mechanism

A safe working environment requires that employees can be heard.

Suppliers must establish and document an anonymous grievance mechanism that allows employees to report issues without fear of retaliation.

Nybo Workwear’s whistleblower system acts as an additional safeguard. Suppliers must also share:

  • Number of complaints received
  • Documentation (e.g. photos)
  • Their grievance policy

6. Increased Transparency in the Value Chain

Future requirements demand full traceability.

From 2026, suppliers must be able to identify their sub-suppliers and raw material producers. This is an important step towards increased transparency and a prerequisite for our work with Grüner Knopf 2.0B certification.

7. Focus on Workplace Safety

Workplace safety is non-negotiable.

Suppliers must report the number of workplace accidents. We actively use this data to improve working conditions and prevent future incidents.

8. Certification as Standard

We set requirements – because they create quality and credibility.

All suppliers must be certified at a high level, including:

  • OEKO-TEX® STeP
  • Amfori BSCI
  • SA8000

These certifications ensure that both environmental and social conditions meet recognized standards.

9. Code of Conduct

Our values must be clear and binding.

All suppliers must sign our Code of Conduct at least every second year. This ensures continuous alignment with our shared ethical and responsible principles.

10. Collaboration Across the Value Chain

Sustainability does not stop at the first tier.

If a sub-supplier does not meet the requirements, we expect our direct suppliers to actively contribute to the solution. This may include:

  • Participation in dialogue meetings
  • Bridging between parties
  • Joint development of solutions

We believe that real change happens through collaboration – not distance.

Together We Shape the Future

At Nybo Workwear, we believe that the best results are achieved together. Our ESG requirements are not just a framework – they are a foundation for collaboration, development, and shared accountability.

We set requirements because we aim higher. And we support our suppliers because we know that real change requires partnership.

Together, we work towards a value chain where transparency, respect for people, and care for the environment are a natural part of everyday operations – not the exception.

That is how we build a stronger business. And a more responsible future.
