Nybo Workwear’s Business Policy for Responsible Business Conduct

At Nybo Workwear, we work to ensure responsible conditions within our own organization and throughout our global supply chain. Based on international standards such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the ILO Core Conventions, and the OECD Due Diligence Guidelines, we systematically work to identify, prevent, and address risks related to human rights, the environment, and business integrity.

Nybo Workwear’s Business Policy

  1. We commit to taking responsibility for the direct and indirect impacts that our business may have on human rights, the environment, and other risks within our supply chains that arise through the company’s direct or actual control.

  2. We commit to respecting human rights in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the ILO Core Conventions, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) initiative, the Grüner Knopf due diligence requirements, and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for the textile and garment sector. This commitment includes our subsidiaries, suppliers, and contractual partners, as well as their subcontractors and sub-suppliers, all of whom are required to sign our Code of Conduct. The identification of adverse impacts on human rights, the environment, and business integrity is integrated into relevant decision-making processes across the company.

  3. We ensure equal rights and include vulnerable stakeholders and groups. We also implement the possibility for anonymous grievance reporting and integrate processes for handling complaints and remediation.

  4. We commit to assessing and taking appropriate measures regarding environmental risks within our company and subsidiaries, including those of partners in our supply chain, their subcontractors, and in connection with transportation.

  5. We commit to analyzing and prioritizing risks related to human rights, the environment, and integrity across the entire supply chain—from raw materials to garment production, including our own production sites. The risk identification analysis is continuously updated based on completed risk assessments. The analysis also includes ensuring safe distance from hazardous chemicals, even in cases where their use is not widespread among our suppliers and subcontractors.

  6. We commit to the use of sustainable materials, responsible sourcing and purchasing practices, the promotion of living wages, and a continuous increase in the use of sustainable materials.

  7. We have zero tolerance for bribery and corruption. We commit to conducting our business with the highest level of integrity and expect the same from our subsidiaries, suppliers, contractual partners, and other business partners.

  8. We commit to exercising due diligence with regard to the most significant risks in our operations and supply chains.

  9. We commit to responsible purchasing practices to avoid adverse impacts arising from our procurement. This includes meaningful dialogue with affected stakeholders, listening to and addressing all complaints directed at the company, including within our own operations, and taking appropriate action.

  10. We ensure that this policy is published on our website and communicated internally within the organization. This includes providing information that enables external stakeholders to understand and assess the company’s due diligence processes, risk management, and implementation of our due diligence commitments, as well as impacts on human rights, the environment, and integrity within our textile supply chains.

  11. Top management is responsible for fulfilling the company’s due diligence obligations as set out in this policy, as well as for the associated responsibilities for the operational implementation of due diligence processes, including within sustainability/CSR, procurement, sourcing, design, product development, HR, and compliance.

  12. We ensure that appropriate responsibilities, incentive structures, and sufficient financial and human resources, as well as competencies, are established within the organization to implement this policy.

  13. We also commit to specific voluntary initiatives, which are published annually on our website.

  14. As part of our incentive structure, Nybo Workwear A/S considers it important that all employees are treated equally. When employees wish to participate in further education to improve their competencies, this is supported by management. General employee benefits are established to ensure that the workplace remains attractive.
